‘Assemble: Making Room’ is a residency project at the V&A Dundee. The gallery is used as a public workshop and develops a wider collaboration between the museum and the city. At the end of the exhibition, the collection of architectural plaster casts will be rehoused at Dundee’s Central Library to form a new learning display. Visitors will be able to explore the relationship between contemporary production techniques and traditional building crafts.
Kellenberger–White designed signage and interpretation design for ‘Making Room’. For the exhibition signage, we explored the process of drawing and casting in metal. A series of posters highlighted various manufacturing processes, hand-painted signage, captions, booklets and a feedback mural support groups of local young people and exhibition visitors to further develop the project.
