Exhibition catalogue for a retrospective, at Milan’s Pirelli Hangar Biccocca, on New York-based Jamaican-born artist Nari Ward, known for repurposing discarded material from his neighbourhood into symbolic sculptural installations. Ground Break focuses on ideas about performance that have emerged from Ward’s collaborations and sound and time-based practices. With a hard cover wrapped in blue buckram, we designed the book to have the presence and authority of a monograph.
