3D printing technology is typically used to create models for industrial designers and architects using a standard white paper. Kellenberger–White proposed using the technology with coloured paper to make a ‘graphic object’. A simplified shape of a Christmas tree was created so it could easily snap out from the block when opened by the person who received it – like a gift from a cracker.
